A Glimpse into the Reunion of Vasavi Public School’s Batch of 2000
The hallowed halls of Vasavi Public School buzzed with excitement and nostalgia on January 4th, 2025, as the batch of 2000 gathered to relive their cherished school days 25 years after graduating high school. This special reunion was a heartwarming affair that brought together over 20 alumni and 18 former teachers who had once shaped their journeys. Adding to the event’s charm was the presence of the school’s current students from Grades 8 and 9, who eagerly participated in the celebrations.
The festivities began with a campus tour led by Mrs. Latha, who showcased the remarkable improvements made to the school over the past two decades. From state-of-the-art facilities to expanded learning spaces, the alumni were left deeply impressed by the school’s progress. Their smiles and words of appreciation echoed the sentiment of revisiting a place that had been instrumental in their formative years.
The formal gathering was graced by Sri P. Ramamohan Rao, President of the Vasavi Academy of Education, Sri V.M Parthasarathi, Treasurer, VAE, Smt. Jaishree Rao, Academic Director of Vasavi Public School, and Mr. G. Srinivas Reddy, the principal, who welcomed everyone with warm words of encouragement and pride. The current students presented a captivating cultural program, which included a heartfelt rendition of the school song penned by Smt. Sugunasheela, the former music teacher, who was present among the august gathering. The performances stirred memories of yesteryears, reminding everyone of the vibrant spirit of Vasavi Public School.
The alumni were addressed by Sri Shankarachary, the former Principal of Vasavi Public School. Following his speech, several former teachers took the stage to share their memories and experiences. Each teacher recounted stories of their time at Vasavi Public School, highlighting the dedication, hard work, and enthusiasm of their students. Their speeches were filled with warmth and admiration, and they expressed their joy in seeing their former students grow as successful individuals.
The alumni were deeply moved by these heartfelt speeches, which served as a powerful reminder of the lasting impact that their educators had on their lives. The atmosphere was filled with a sense of gratitude and respect, as everyone celebrated the enduring legacy of Vasavi Public School.
The batch’s Head Boy and Head Girl, Mr. Aditya Vaddiparthi and Mrs. Keerthana Sampath-Venkatesh, took the stage to inspire the current students. Mrs. Keerthana shared how following one’s passion transforms work into joy, urging students to identify and pursue what truly excites them. Mr. Aditya spoke about the importance of self-belief, narrating personal experiences where confidence had been the key to overcoming challenges. Their words left an indelible impression on the young audience, offering guidance for their own journeys ahead.
The alumni and former Principal and teachers were felicitated by the dignitaries of Vasavi Academy of Education. In turn, the alumni extended their gratitude by felicitating their teachers, expressing heartfelt thanks for their invaluable contributions to their lives.
In a private meeting with the school’s leadership, the alumni shared insights on how the school could make education more holistic and aligned with its vision. Their suggestions were well-received, reflecting a shared commitment to fostering a nurturing environment for future generations.
As the event drew to a close, it was a moment of pride for Vasavi Public School to witness the extraordinary achievements of its alumni, who have excelled in diverse industries and fields.
