LPG Gas Safety Awareness Programme Held at Vasari Public School
On 30th November 2024, an LPG Gas Safety Awareness Programme was conducted at our school by Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MOPNG) initiative, “Sense of Duty” aimed at promoting LPG safety awareness among the community. The session aimed to educate students on the safe use of LPG gas cylinders, essential safety precautions, and emergency measures to ensure the well- being of all.
The presenters engaged the audience by interacting and posing questions before demonstrating how to connect the regulator to the cylinder. They discussed safety checks for stoves, regulator pipes, and cylinders and highlighted the importance of using certified products. Safety measures in case of a fire and the LPG emergency number, 1906, were also shared. They also shared information about the new composite cylinders, its advantages and types of regular cylinders with 2 sub types of domestic cylinders.
The session empowered the students with the holistic education to handle LPG safely in their households.
As a gesture of appreciation, the school presented saplings to the guests, while they rewarded students with the certified pipes. The interactive session was both informative and impactful, leaving students with valuable safety knowledge.
